Valentine’s Day Symposium

02.14.2013, 8:45 AM

Welcome to a special Valentine’s Day FamilyScholars Online Symposium.  Today we will be featuring an elite group of scholars and opinion leaders who respond to this question inspired by “A Call to a New Conversation on Marriage”:

What advice would you give
to those seeking to conduct
a new conversation on marriage?

Throughout the day, we will feature one of seven respondents, some signatories to “A Call” and some friendly critics, but all sincerely engaging this important question at the onset of a New Marriage Conversation.  The schedule is as follows:

Leah Ward Sears-9am

Lawrence M. Mead-10am

Susan Dutton-11am

Maggie Gallagher-12pm

Ron Haskins-1pm

Heather Mac Donald-2pm

John Corvino-3pm

At the close of the day, we will publish one Symposium Round-Up post from me as Editor, which will list all the responses in one post.  Please feel free to comment on each piece individually or on the Round-Up post at the end of the day.

Check in here throughout the day and follow us on Twitter @FamScholars or me @RevAmyZ  for live-tweeting throughout the two days.

We welcome rigorous, critical engagement in a context of civility.

Welcome to the conversation.
